There is no February 29 in 2023. A common year is exactly 52 weeks and one day long, which is why the year ends on the same weekday it began, and why every date in 2024 lands one weekday later than it does in 2023. Fixed dates do not move, but the weekday under them does. In 2023, Christmas Day is a Monday, July 4th a Tuesday, Halloween a Tuesday.
