About the 2016 calendar
The leap day lands on Monday, February 29. That single extra day is why 2016 does not end on the weekday it started on, and why a wall calendar printed for any other year goes wrong from the end of February onwards. Fixed dates do not move, but the weekday under them does. In 2016, Christmas Day is a Sunday, July 4th a Monday, Halloween a Monday. Christmas falling at the weekend is worth knowing early, because most countries move the public holiday to the Monday or Tuesday after it.
